February Job Of The Month

When The Russell Corporation reached out to solicit subcontractor quotes for a new facility in Caldwell, we were quick to review the construction drawings.  Fresca Mexican Foods had hired The Russell Corp to construct a new tortilla factory covering about 180,000 square feet on 19 acres in the Sky Ranch Business Park.  Fresca Mexican Foods had simply outgrown their existing site in Boise and needed more space.  Boise River Fence, Inc. was awarded the contract to construct the fence and gate portion of the project which was originally scoped to be 6’ chain link with three strand barb wire.  However early into construction, Fresca Mexican Foods decided that a decorative steel fence and entry gates would be more aesthetically pleasing around the front half of the facility.  Boise River Fence fabricated a custom 6’ tall sample panel with industrial steel quality materials and the sample and submittals were quickly approved.   The chain link portion of the fence was installed early in the construction phase to help with construction site security and the decorative steel portion was soon to follow.  This week we are finalizing the 3 sets of automatic gates.  Each of these gates serve different purposes for the facility and they each need separate operating and access control capabilities.

From our perspective as a subcontractor this complex job went extremely smooth due to a very well organized general contractor in The Russell Corp.  The project manager Chris Jones and the general superintendent Mike Huttash and their entire team were super to work with and made sure each phase was ready for our work when our crews showed up.

In conversations with the project manager Chris Jones he commented that “Boise River Fence is organized and paid attention to detail as well as providing an attractive and durable product”.  As a subcontractor, we cannot ask for any more of a positive review of our work.
